This song was still in the developing stages when we recorded it, and this recording shows it. We developed a habit of recording our practices so we could have an audio reference to any new material we came up with, and this may have been the second or third time we had even attempted to play this song all the way through. The lyrics were taken from a poem I wrote circa 2002, around the same time that the lyrics of "Passion For A Dying Faith" were written, marking my resentment with the Nazarene Church I had been attending between 1999 and 2001. While "Passion" was mostly about my dying faith in a God that never even seemed to be there, "Judgement" is a condemnation of the congregation of my former church, their ongoing politics and blatant hypocrisy.
